What I am doing now...

PERFORMANCE
In April I was in Brisbane for a performance of my collaborative composition entitled "Airwaves: 100 Years of Radio." The photo above is from that performance with Topology and Loops.

TEACHING
I am continuing to teach in the Bachelor of Music program at Melbourne Polytechnic.

RECORDINGS
I have recently contributed tracks to a new album being produced by Warren Senders, called "The Isaac Newton Project". This should be released in late 2024.

Last year I released the double album Gliese 667c with Tripataka.

COOKING
This year I have started learning about food fermentation, and am using these foods to augment my vegetarian diet.

READING
I am reading the following books:
The Master and his Emissary (McGilchrist)
How to Live (Sivers)
Infinite Splendours (Laguna)

AMATEUR RADIO
I am enjoying making contacts around the world on the HF bands, with friends in 120 radio entity countries made since resuming the hobby in 2021. I keep a logbook on QRZ.com.

TENNIS & SWIMMING
I am enjoying doubles and singles tennis competitions as well as weekly classes. I continue a weekly swimming schedule for stress-relief and fitness. Here's a recent photo of me at my local swimming pool.

SOME CURRENT FAVOURITE QUOTES FROM BOOKS I AM READING"But the laws of non-contradiction, and of the excluded middle, which have to rule in the left hemisphere because of the way it construes the nature of the world , do not hold sway in the right hemisphere, which construes the world as inherently giving rise to what the left hemisphere calls paradox and ambiguity. This is much like the problem of the analytic versus holsitic understanding of what a metaphor is: to one hemisphere a perhaps beautiful, but ultimately irrelevant, lie; to the other the only path to truth."
