DEEPJADE DUO

Daryl Pratt Jonathan Dimond

DeepJade Duo

INTRODUCTION
Daryl Pratt and Jonathan Dimond enjoy a musical association spanning decades. This new project showcases their virtuosity in a duo setting.  When Daryl first approached Jonathan about the project, Jonathan suggested Corea’s Children’s Songs could be an interesting vehicle for exploration, taking inspiration from the collaboration by Corea and vibraphonist Gary Burton. Inspired by the Corea/Burton duo, DeepJade Duo takes advantage of the intimate instrumentation and elegant compositional approaches to explore a duologue that features improvisation in a conversational manner.
